Trust response to the Covid-19 pandemic

Adjustments we are making as a result of the coronavirus outbreak

Tree

Our thoughts are with everyone at this difficult time. We too are doing our bit to help restrict the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) by adjusting the ways we work.

Over the past week we have been doing everything we can to help our team stay well in these extraordinary circumstances, while continuing to work for wild places for people and nature. To address the challenge of how to best apply ourselves to our mission and the wider threats that are facing our society at this time, we have made some changes.

Staying in touch: Many of our staff are now working remotely, so please contact us via email. Find team members here and general contact information here. If you have a question about the Trust’s John Muir Award that operates across the United Kingdom then send an e-mail to info@johnmuiraward.org.

Our 2020 AGM and Members’ Gathering: This will not take place on 5 and 6 June as originally planned. We are taking advice from the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator and are exploring options for conducting it in a different way and/or time. We will share an update and next steps for our members early next week. Visit this AGM webpage for the latest.

Decisions we have taken so far:

  • Our Wild Space visitor centre in Pitlochry is closed.
  • We have suspended our conservation work parties until further notice.
  • We have suspended the majority of events happening in the next months – you can get updates here.
  • Our staff have agreed not to attend external meetings, or travel on public transport until further notice.
From all of us at the Trust, please accept our best wishes and kind thoughts. Thank you for your ongoing support for our work - we will continue to keep you updated as appropriate.
