Loch Hourn fish farm expansion plans

Trust asks that community concerns are addressed before expansion plans progress.

In September 2020, after considering Mowi's plans to expand their fish farm in Loch Hourn, the John Muir Trust wrote to Glenelg and Arnisdale Community Council to add our concerns to those already expressed by the local community. You can read our response below.

UPDATE: In a decision notice letter dated 29 June 2022 the Highland Council refused planning permission to the proposed expansion of Loch Hourn Fish Farm.
