The John Muir Award can contribute to residential and outdoor adventure programmes, helping to fully integrate environmental awareness and responsibility, encouraging personal challenge and skills development, and providing valuable recognition of achievements. 

The John Muir Trust supports Learning Away’s Campaign for Brilliant Residentials which promotes the life-changing experiences that children and young people take away from residentials.
