Trust response to Scottish Government's draft Biodiversity Strategy
The Trust has submitted a response to the Scottish Government's draft Biodiversity Strategy.
The Strategy intends to halt biodiversity loss by 2030 and reverse it by 2045. It will provide a basis on which to develop statutory nature restoration targets, expected to be introduced in the forthcoming Natural Environment Bill.
Comments were invited on the Strategy's proposed vision, outcomes, milestones and implementation. In preparing our response we sought to echo and support points made in a separate collective response from Scottish Environment LINK members.
The consultation runs until 12 September 2022 with the final version due to be published before the end of 2022.
