Joint statement on a new National Park in Wales

Trust signs on to a joint statement outlining principles to guide the creation of a new National Park in North East Wales.

In autumn 2024 we are expecting Natural Resources Wales to open a public consultation on a proposed boundary map for a new National Park in Wales.

Ahead of this consultation, the Trust has signed on to a statement which lists what a supporting framework for the creation of a new National Park needs to include if it is to be an area that demonstrates exemplary land management and governance for climate, people and nature.

The statement has been prepared by Campaign for National Parks and the Alliance for Welsh Designated Landscapes and is available to download below.
