Creativity Nature & Mental Health: A collection of poems & reflections
Getting creative is a fantastic way of engaging with places and people around us, with nature providing inspiration, canvas and materials
This collection shares extracts from individuals who completed their John Muir Award through Branching Out, Scottish Forestry’s woodland-based programme for adults recovering from long-term mental health problems. Through their own words, photos, arts and crafts, they demonstrate how connecting with nature can help improve mental health and wellbeing, from the sanctuary and headspace wild places offer them to the sense of belonging they gain.
