Vital Appeal for wild places

Our ongoing Vital Appeal is already helping to fund important work in wild places, but there is still more to do.

Hillside at DC with Schiehallion detail

Huge thanks to the 1,000 or so people who have responded generously to our Vital Appeal so far, helping to ensure that our work to give wild places a future can continue.

The money we raise is helping communities, nature and people thrive in wild places like East Schiehallion (pictured at the top) and other wonderful places in our care - all managed by our fantastic team. Here's how...

Ali Austin at Steall Falls

Donations to funds like the Vital Appeal mean that our Nevis Manager Alison Austin (pictured above) can work with our partners, at scale, to make a real difference for nature restoration at Nevis.

Ben Lomond Gin - Tom Corke

While over at Schiehallion, your continuing support to the Vital Appeal enables natural processes to flourish at Schiehallion - increasing biodiversity for a variety of wildlife, from dragonflies to golden eagles - explains East Schiehallion Mountain Woodland Project Manager Tom Corke (pictured above).

Karen and Charlie at Glenlude April 2022 - Ben Statham

Vital Appeal funds also help Glenlude Manager Karen Purvis (pictured above) to host schools and community organisations at our site in the Scottish Borders, developing their skills and experience by connecting with a wild place that is part of a thriving ecosystem.
