Edinburgh hosts our latest gathering
Around 60 Members and supporters gathered in Edinburgh in early November for a fun afternoon spent celebrating wild places.
Before introducing our two guest speakers, Local Members’ Group leader Hugh Salvesen (pictured above) welcomed everyone encouraging them to support the Trust by buying raffle tickets for a chance of winning some fabulous prizes.
The first speaker - Nevis Manager Alison Austin (above) - provided an interesting update on what her team have been up to managing the land we care for at Ben Nevis. She was followed by Bothy Tales author John D Burns (below), who entertained the room with tales of a Highland bothy where a weary traveller finds shelter from the storm – neatly setting the scene for why protecting wild places is more vital than ever.
A huge thank you to everyone for their support – including our corporate partners who generously provided fantastic raffle prizes, including: a £100 Tiso Gift Card; Ben Lomond Limited Edition John Muir Trust Gin Gift Set; Platinum Tour & Taste of Scotland Dinner for two at the Scotch Whisky Experience!
- Look out for more fantastic events celebrating wild places in 2025!
