Field Notes: Summit litter sweep

Nevis Conservation Officer Nathan Berrie salutes everyone who helped with our final summit litter pick of an exceptionally busy season

Most years we do our final summit litter pick in September but, because it has been so busy this year, we decided to host one last volunteer work party in mid October - before Ben Nevis goes into winter mode.

It was a hugely successful day thanks to some fantastic volunteers and the ever dedicated and helpful Nevis Landscape Partnership (NLP) seasonal ranger team. Together we cleared 13 bags of litter and an abandoned tent.
