Wild Moment: Ann Dunn
"Speckled shadows / lengthening days..." Ann Dunn shares a poem that celebrates a locked-down spring spent in the garden
Spring in lockdown
Taming my garden
Pulling out weeds
Fingers in earth
sowing seeds
Dappled sunlight
Evening rays
Speckled shadows
Lengthening days
Fragrant petals
Fledglings fly
Silver birch leaves
Star filled sky
Forget me nots
On pathways spread
Screeching swallows
Overhead
Bird filled woodland
Gentle rain
Arching Rainbows
A country lane
Just glorious birdsong
Swooping bees
Pristine skies
And silence:
Peace
