Wild Moment: Billy Dingwall
A poem by the late Billy Dingwall, a long-time Trust member and dedicated volunteer who loved wild places.
Wanderlust
Today’s the day I readjust,
Must connect to wanderlust,
My rucksack’s packed,
Boots fit snug,
Map’s in hand,
Got the wandering bug.
Escape to freedom,
Answer the call,
Those spiritual treads,
Seek mountains tall.
Misty eyed symbolic thrust,
I see myself in wanderlust.
The time is now,
Me myself, in a final bow.
I soar above in wanderlust,
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
