Band aid for the Trust
Top Glasgow rock band Shardlake makes a generous donation to the John Muir Trust after appearing at a charity fundraising gig in London’s iconic 100 Club.
Five-piece rock band, Shardlake, who are all and keen hillwalkers and nature buffs, played at the inaugural Sustainability Rocks event in Soho's 100 Club at the end of September. Proceeds from the sold-out concert were shared among the various bands taking part to distribute to the sustainability charity of their choice - with Shardlake chosing the John Muir Trust.

Sustainability Rocks is the brainchild of Will Oulton, a sustainable investment expert and member of the band 51st State. The band has been performing and raising funds for charities since 2017 and this year Will brought together sustainable investing and music.
As well as Shardlake,100 Club has hosted gigs by such stars as The Rolling Stones, The Who, Oasis, The Jam, the Sex Pistols, Paul McCartney and Amy Winehouse.
Shardlake, who are all keen hillwalkers as well as musicians, nominated the John Muir Trust to receive more than £1,500 for its vital work in conserving and protecting wild places. Members of the band have recently spent time in some of the wild places preserved by the Trust, including Helvellyn, Ben Nevis and Knoydart.
Thank you Shardlake!
